This knife is crafted with great care and attention to traditional materials and techniques. The handle is composed of stabilized birch burl and end-cut masurbirch, both of which provide a lively surface and a warm, organic expression. Between the elements are tin inlays with fine filing, adding a subtle, handcrafted detail. The knife is finished with a silver end plate, emphasizing the overall aesthetic impression.
The blade is ground from carbon damascus consisting of 1095 and 15N20 steels. The forged damascus structure forms a distinct feather pattern, which is both visually striking and a testament to meticulous smithing. The carbon steel provides a sharp and durable edge while requiring respectful maintenance.
The knife comes with a sheath of dyed, hardened leather, adorned with a carved and embossed pattern in Nordic Viking style. The pattern evokes a sense of tradition and historical grounding, making the sheath a natural extension of the knife’s expression.
The handle measures 110 mm, and the blade is 83 mm long – a balanced and manageable size, suitable both for precision work and for the collector who appreciates classic Nordic craftsmanship.
