Handmade Nordic-Style Knife

A handmade knife in Nordic style – featuring natural materials, damascus steel, and details with historical character.

Handle:
The handle is composed of stabilized poplar burl and stabilized mammoth ivory – a rare and fossilized material with up to 40,000 years of history. The two materials are joined by hollowed, triangular tin inlays, adding rhythm and a graphic expression to the handle. The combination of the lively wood grain, ivory-like tusk, and cool metal gives the handle both character and balance.

Blade:
The blade is crafted from carbon damascus – Balbach DSC® Carbon – a layered steel with high cutting performance and a distinct pattern. The steel has a lively surface that highlights the craftsmanship and gives the knife a personal expression. The carbon steel develops a natural patina over time, gaining a warm glow with use.

Sheath:
The knife comes with a custom-made sheath of dyed, hardened leather. The pattern is carved and embossed in a style inspired by Nordic Viking motifs, adding a historical and cultural touch. The sheath’s button is made from stabilized poplar burl, creating a visual link to the handle.

Dimensions:
Handle length: approx. 115 mm
Blade length: approx. 90 mm

A knife that combines genuine materials, Nordic design language, and meticulous craftsmanship – made for those who appreciate tradition, quality, and attention to detail.
