Handmade Knife with Stabilized Mammoth Ivory Handle and Damascus Blade

This unique knife combines some of nature’s oldest materials with classic Nordic craftsmanship. The handle measures 120 mm and is constructed from white mammoth ivory, stabilized ivory, and stabilized poplar burl, giving the knife a lively and natural expression. A tin inlay adds an aesthetic and artisanal touch, emphasizing the fine balance between function and form.

The blade is made of damascus stainless steel – Balbach DSC Inox – known for its high strength, durability, and sharp edge. The damascus pattern makes each blade unique and gives the knife a distinctive and elegant appearance.

The sheath is crafted from dyed, hardened leather and decorated with carved and embossed patterns inspired by Nordic Viking designs. A button of mammoth ivory completes the overall impression, creating a seamless connection between knife and sheath and a coherent aesthetic.

Blade length: 95 mm.

Overall, the knife offers a harmonious combination of historic materials, functional form, and exquisite craftsmanship – suitable both for practical use and as a collector’s piece.
