The knife is built with a focus on materials, balance, and a calm, cohesive expression. The handle is made from stabilized flamed poplar, where the wood’s lively grain provides a natural visual depth, while the stabilization ensures dimensional stability and durability. At the front of the handle is a ferrule of natural white mammoth ivory, approximately 40,000 years old, creating a light and historically grounded transition to the blade.
Between the handle and the ferrule is a conical, matte-finished spacer of tin. The subdued surface follows the lines of the knife, allowing the transition between materials to appear harmonious. The blade is ground from stainless Damasteel, offering high functionality and a distinctive yet restrained pattern in the steel.
The sheath is crafted from hard-pressed leather and decorated with a carved and tooled motif that is integrated into the form without dominating it. The blade measures 120 mm, and the handle is also 120 mm long, resulting in a well-balanced knife that sits naturally in the hand and is suitable both for use and as a collector’s piece.
