The knife is made using traditional, classic Nordic materials with a focus on simplicity and function. The handle is crafted from stained masur birch, giving a warm and lively appearance while resting securely and naturally in the hand. At the front of the handle is a ferrule made from reindeer antler, creating a soft and light transition to the blade. Between the handle and ferrule is a spacer of tin, which brings the materials together in a calm and balanced whole.

The blade is ground in D2 stainless steel and shaped with an emphasis on practical use and durability. The sheath is sewn from hard-pressed leather and decorated with a carved and tooled acanthus motif, executed with respect for classical ornamentation and traditional craftsmanship.

The blade measures 100 mm, and the handle is 120 mm long, resulting in a well-balanced knife suitable both for use and as a piece of traditional craftsmanship.

The knife was entered in Dansk Knivforenings Knivkonkurrence DM 2026 held at Knivholt Hovedgård, where it was awarded 2nd place among some of Denmark’s finest knife makers. The judging emphasized craftsmanship, choice of materials, finish, and the overall artistic expression.
